"We keep moving forward, opening new doors, and doing new things because we're curious and CURIOSITY keep leading us down new paths"- Walt DIsney
Why do I create? I create because I want to use my talents and put them out into the world so that I can contribute to the beauty that surrounds us. Everywhere I go I often take time to look at places and areas I've never noticed before. Whether its a ceiling, a mark, or a person I realize the beauty in it all. I have many goals that I hope my art will help me achieve. Mainly I want to open others eyes to the under appreciate beauty of the world and also hope to leave my artistic footprint on the world. Whether that foot print be big or small I just want to change someone's perspective and positively impact someones life.
When deciding what to create I first have to think about my purpose. Once my purpose is decided I often gravitate to my favorite media which is acrylic paint because of its versatility though it all depends on my subject. Often when doing things with a certain texture I choose oil pastel because I feel that it effectively portrays different textures beautifully. I prefer including the human figure in my works but occasionally I create works that feature non-living things. Though no matter what I create what I love, what I have a passion for, what I know, what inspires me, and for those who do all of the above. Currently I am exploring with oil paint. This is a brand new media to me and I am steadily learning the wonderful effects and pros to this process. I will be painting multiple mini doughnut paintings using various painting styles and techniques. |
